Motorola talks about Moto Z3 and future Mods
Motorola has been on a roll-a lately. It released the Moto Z2 Force and Moto Z2 Play flagship line, as well as the lower end Moto C and Moto E4 series. It also held many launch events and released some interesting TV advertisements.
Although it's too soon to talk about next year's Moto Z3, Motorola is already talking about it. A rep told TechRadar that the next generation Moto Z phones will be compatible with the current MotoMods. That statement means two things:
1 - There is a third generation of Moto Z smartphones coming (next year most likely)
2 - It will be compatible with MotoMods
This is great news for those who have doubts about the whole ecosystem and think it will be obsolete like LG's modular accessories. In this case, Motorola got modularity right and will bet for it for at least the next two years to come.
So your Insta-Share Projector, Soundboost Mod, Style Shells and Hasselblad Camera should work fine on the Moto Z, Moto Z2, Moto Z3 and perhaps a Moto Z4 in 2019!
