Motorola celebrates 4 million Moto Z phones sold!
During the Indonesian G5s launch yersterday, Lenovo and Motorola announced the 4 millionth Moto Z shipped worldwide since its launch a year ago.
According to Aymar, Motorola's President, Motorola smartphones made grew 100%+ in Western Europe and 56% in Latin America last quarter. 4 million Moto Zs is a great number, though it seems these numbers do not include the second generation Moto Z2 Play and Z2 Force, or maybe just some of its initial shipments (since Motorola is only showing information of the first half of the year).
Originally announced during TechWorld in June 2016, the Z phone was then launched in the US through Verizon later in Q3 2016, with most countries following soon after. The Moto Z comes in a metal unibody and is one of the thinnest smartphones out there. It was joined by the Z Play and Z Force, which offer larger batteries and different price ranges.
