Motorola patents an unbreakable, self-healing screen!
It seems that 2017 is the year of Motorola. The American company was renamed back to Motorola after losing half of its name last year, launched the Moto C and E4 budget phones, the successful Moto G5 and Moto Z2 Force with its unbreakable screen.
But Motorola wants to go beyond the unbreakable screens, and that's why it filed a new patent at the US Patent Office: A screen that heals itself automatically.
As you can see in the image, after shattering, you enter the repair app of it and the screen will do its magic and cure the screen. This was never thought by other manufacturer.
Motorola proposes that with this intelligent glass the user selects the damaged area and then applies the healing process.
According to the source, Motorola has been developing this idea for 6 years and is based on a thermal technology that heals the screen with high temperatures.
